On this journey call life, there are many ups and downs, twists and turns; where you are going is more important than where you have been. Everyone needs someone to talk to in a comfortable non-judgmental safe atmosphere, a place providing genuine warmth, compassion, and respect. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have learned to ask amazing questions and then listen for extraordinary answers. My primary focus is helping women who are working through issues of depression, anxiety, grief/bereavement, obesity/weight loss, chronic pain, relationship matters, everyday stress, or work-life balance issues. A holistic comprehensive approach is use to consider the whole person, while exploring the interactions between the mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social aspects of life.
I am just like most, always aspiring to live healthier and better. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have been trained in various therapeutic approaches including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Solution Focus, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness. I also have a master’s degree in nutrition and extensive experience in corporate wellness helping women gain awareness of their strengths while effectively using their current resources through effective problem solving. I encourage clients to set healthy personal, lifestyle, and relationship goals to enhance their lives. The overall goal is to improve how you feel. It will be an honor to take this journey with you. My office is located North Fort Worth/Alliance area.
"Life is a journey and it's about growing and changing and coming to terms with who and what you are and loving who and what you are."

Wishing you a joyful, peaceful journey
When Health is absent, Wisdom cannot reveal itself; Art cannot become manifest; Strength cannot be exerted; Wealth is useless and reason is powerless.

Adding regular physical activity to a daily regimen can accelerate weight loss and improve overall health. Start out slowly, 15 to 20 minutes a day, 3 to 4 days a week; eventually working up to 30 minutes a day, 4 to 5 days a week. The key to a successful exercise program is finding an activity you enjoy!
Positive thinking can improve your overall wellbeing (physically, emotionally, and spiritually). All diseases have some psychosomatic effects. Psychosomatic comes from the Greek words psyche (mind) and soma (body). What we believe goes into the mind before it moves into the body. Every thought and emotion affects every cell in the body and everything that happens to the body also affects the mind, this is called mind-body interaction.
What is Mindfulness?
Moment-by-moment Awareness
Being Fully Present
Paying Attention
Sensation Consciousness
Body Awareness
Cultivating Connections
We are social beings and maintaining healthy relationships can enhance our overall wellbeing. Learning how to love unconditionally can be challenging but possible. Start by releasing the need to control others in order to feel better. Focus on the good in others while allowing a sense of freedom. Always look for the positive aspects of the relationship. We can begin by simply following the Golden Rule: treat others the way you would like to be treated. Also remember to practice self-kindness and self-compassion.
Find what brings you joy or makes your heart sing. Everyday ask what would help you feel better. It could be something as simple as having a cup of tea, spending time in nature, laughing with a loved one, petting your dog, listening to music, or taking a drive. There is no cookie cutter formula, joyous living is as unique as finger prints. So ask yourself daily "what brings me joy?"
